Maintenance Planner

Description:

Magnolia Marine Transport has an opening at our Vicksburg office for a full-time Maintenance Planner to assist with the work order and problem report (PR) programs generated through SAP and BoatSys. These programs track repairs and maintenance for the MMT building/grounds and shoreside equipment as well as for MMT boat and barge equipment. This position will also support the oil sample program for all the MMT boat equipment.

Maintenance Planner Qualifications:

• Requires High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 5 years experience with maintenance/repairs and purchasing in the marine industry and related fields.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must have experience with Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and SAP Support.
• Ability to maintain a good working relationship with other personnel.
• Must hold a valid driver's license.
• Must hold a valid TWIC card.

Maintenance Planner Responsibilities include the following:

• Assist in maintaining equipment files for all MMT equipment through SAP PM.
• Assist in maintaining master data and records in SAP.
• Generate SAP work orders for MMT Engineering and outside companies related to MMT.
• Provide SAP support.
• Requisitioning of materials and services.
• Assist in requesting and coordinating contractors to perform some repairs on board the MMT vessels.
• Verify the completion of work orders and properly document all service and repairs.
• Maintain MMT spare parts inventory to ensure that it is being kept up with and maintained.
• Receive and process oil sample reports and correspond with the proper personnel if the report shows a problem.
• Back up support to the Administrative Assistant to Maintenance / Engineering for work order-related duties only.
• Maintain daily logs for MMT forklift inspections.
• Assist Senior Maintenance Planner in all responsibilities and duties, as needed.
• Report any unsafe or hazardous conditions and nonconformities to supervisor.
• Will be required to obtain a Forklift, Rigging, and Crane Certification.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
