Description: As an HR Generalist at FDHS, you will play an integral role in managing human resources functions to ensure the success and efficiency of our practices. You will be responsible for a variety of HR activities aimed at attracting, developing, and retaining top talent while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and Onboarding:
    • Coordinate the recruitment process, including job descriptions and postings, screening resumes and candidates, scheduling and conducting interviews.
    • Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, including orientation, new hire document completion, and training coordination.
  • Employee Relations:
    • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and grievances, providing guidance and support as needed.
    • Promote positive employee relations through effective communication, conflict resolution, and fostering a culture of mutual respect and collaboration.
  • Employee Engagement:
    • Assist with initiatives that foster employee wellness and engagement and drives employee retention such as engagement surveys, employee recognition programs, exit interviews, stay interviews, and employee events.
  • Performance Management:
    • Support performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and performance success plans.
    • Distribute and monitor employee performance evaluations and ensure they are done in a timely manner.
    • Provide managers and employees with guidance on performance feedback, coaching, and development opportunities.
  • Benefits Administration:
    • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and additional benefits.
    • Assist employees with benefit inquiries, enrollment, and changes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • HR Policies and Compliance:
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and regulations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
    • Update HR policies, procedures and employee handbook as needed.
    • Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; periodically audits Forms I-9.
  • HR Administration:
    • Manage HRIS and maintain accurate employee records and files.
    • Prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports to support decision-making and identify trends.
    • Administer leave programs, including FMLA, short-term and long-term disability, non-medical leave of absences and worker’s compensation claims, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • One to three years of proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar role.
  • SHRM or PHR certification preferred.
  • In depth knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in HRIS, MS Office Suite, and other HR-related software applications.
