JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Groundskeeper Laborer is responsible for performing general outside grounds maintenance activities to include but is not limited to mow, trim trees, dig ditches and trenches; clean and sweep parking lots and surrounding areas. Perform manual labor involved in outdoor and trail maintenanceEssential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Must be able to read, interpret and follow work orders and procedures, as necessary.
  • Possess the ability to manage time efficiently to accomplish goals and tasks.
  • Must be customer service oriented, always have a customer friendly attitude and professional appearance.
  • Must be able to work effectively under pressure and stringent schedules and produce accurate and satisfactory results.
  • Must be capable of working with management, divisions, and other departments and maintain the positive image of the City.
  • Must be able to effectively respond to questions from management, peers, customers, and the public.
  • Must be able to maneuver power tools such as lawn mowers, weed eater, and trimmers.
Experience, Competencies and Education:

A High School Diploma or GED.Physical Requirement:
  • Performs work that involves walking or standing most of the time and involves exerting up to 20 to 50 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis, or skill, adeptness, and speed in the use of fingers, hands or limbs on repetitive operation electronic office machines or tools within moderate tolerances or limits of accuracy.
