Summary:

The Electrical Apprentice will help perform all aspects of electrical power distribution and telco installations on various applications throughout the wireless industry under the direction of a license electrician. The installation of AC and DC power distribution for a variety of wireless equipment. Installation of conduit, wiring, terminations and trenching for equipment. Travel from site to site for construction installation is required.

Our corporate office is based out of Salem, NH, the home base, but the work will be performed throughout New England and may involve overnight and out of town work, as well as work on other shifts or weekends and overtime as necessary to stay on the construction schedule.

Employment is contingent upon a favorable background screen which includes social security, employment verification and a criminal background check as well as your ability to demonstrate that you possess and maintain a valid drivers' license.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in construction of telecommunications, preferred
  • Must have ability to complete all required code courses and continuing education required for licensing.
  • Must have experience testing and terminating fiber optic and Cat6 cable. Experience with terminating and testing hardline/plenum coax is a plus.
  • Ability to use safety harnesses and other safety equipment, including carrying materials and tools while climbing. Use of hand tools, and power equipment.
  • Mechanical ability with repetitive use of both hands, hand-eye coordination to assemble, troubleshoot, and construct assemblies and towers made of various materials such as steel, wood, iron, plastic, etc.
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions, manuals, blueprints, specifications, and other documents related to construction, installation, maintenance, of electrical equipment.
  • Driving motor vehicles to and from sites, hooking up of trailers or other transport or storage vehicles.
