Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescriptionThis role’s primary focus is the supervision of cycle counting teams and monitoring the movement of material throughout various departments within our facility. This role will be responsible for investigating variances and analyzing trends in inventory transactions. Ensures accuracy of inventory and manages process flow, workloads, and conducts continuous improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities·         Reconciles discrepancies between purchasing, delivery, and invoicing. 
·         Offers research summaries, updates, and recommendations to managers and/or other departments/decision makers to ensure that more informed purchasing/costing decisions are made.·         Establish and execute cycle count schedule in compliance with corporate accounting objectives.·         Coordinate and oversee the daily cycle counting of the various inventory assets.·         Investigate, identify, and reconcile the cycle count discrepancies, i.e., shortages as well as overages.·         Maintain the cycle count records and all reports required by company policy·         Audit processes to be able to spot inconsistencies that affect the accuracy of inventories·         Take care of the inventory areas by organizing and maintaining efficient material handling and storage.·         Prepare weekly reports on inventory levels.Manage the process of returning and repairing damaged and defective products, ensuring that they are put back on the shelf and recorded properly.·         Authorize all adjustments made to the inventory and do root cause analysis to better understand what caused the inventory loss or gain.·         Works closely with purchasing group to ensure they are aware of all losses or gains to inventory.·         Work with various departments and maintains a supporting attitude that helps support the company’s goals.·         Ensures that all the employees working for them work towards achieving the objectives related to inventory control management and makes suggestions for improvement to management.·         Performs other related duties as required or assigned.·         Travel requirements are minimal but may include travel to North America Franklin Electric facilities up to 10% on an annual basis SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES·         Supervises a team of cycle counters and serves in a backup capacity to other supervisors as needed.  o    Interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

o    Working with Human Resources on employee issues.

  
Skills Knowledge and Expertise·         Strong analytical and mathematic skills to run analysis over inventory levels. ·         Strong presentation skillsConveys information and answers questions clearly in one-on-one and small group interactions with direct reports and other staff within the organization. ·         General knowledge of production processes, scheduling, planning and material procurement.Prepares regular reports and makes power point presentations.·         Experience operating a stand up reach truck (preferred).·         Maintains confidentiality and uses discretion with business information.Comprehends documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Organizes the time, method, way, and/or order of own work and employees reporting to them. Education and Experience[AS1] [AS2] Undergraduate degree mathematics and/or 5-10 years of relevant experience in a related field that focuses on numeric analysis, such as business management, supply chain management, or mathematics.  Computer Skills•      Intermediate to advanced: Microsoft 365•      Intermediate to Advanced: Business Intelligence and ERP Systems.
