Knowledge of HVAC and plumbing is preferred but not required.

Candidates must be:

• Available from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check

Principal Accountabilities:

• Directly and indirectly responsible for controlling and ordering inventory from assigned vendors
• Review daily suggested PO Queue
• Manage Inventory levels and stocking locations
• Review vendor acknowledgments and check deviations to purchase orders
• Solve discrepancies with AP and or vendor
• Actively participate in meetings with vendor representatives
• Provide necessary information to Managers to keep them informed of any critical issues with vendors
• Address vendor issues as they pertain to buy lines
• Negotiate the best price for the company
• Reduce excessive inventory-eliminating inventory with no sales
• Achieve department goals
• Monitor product innovations and competitors' products, pricing, and sales
• Attend industry trade shows and product training when needed
• Create and maintain computer individual SKU items
• Work with managers to create, maintain, and purchase products
• Answer questions and provide information regarding products
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Education/Experience Required:

• High School Diploma required, or its equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years wholesale purchasing experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required:

• Must be friendly and have a positive attitude
• Self-motivated
• Critical thinker-using logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions
• Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, primarily Excel
• Ability to learn Eclipse/Solar Software
• Must be very detail-oriented and focused for accuracy
• Ability to perform assignments with minimal supervision and under tight deadlines
• Requires maturity and experience to interface with all levels of management and salesmen
• Must have strong interpersonal communication skills
• Must maintain a patient and professional attitude while managing a busy workload
• Strong organizational skills required
• Must be able to determine and prioritize workload
• Willingness to travel
