English Language Teacher For Kids

Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are currently looking for English Language Teachers to provide in-person customized lessons to our clients in Scarsdale, NY.

Job Information:

• Class number 163602
• 11-year-old kid
• Availability: Monday to Friday between 9:30 am and 5:30 pm
• Preferred start date: July 31st
• Lesson Frequency: 5 days per week
• Lesson Duration: 2 hours
• Student’s location/time zone: Sacarsdale
• Current target language level: Novice-low/mid
• Native and other spoken languages: French (Native), Spanish (Native)
• Student’s language needs and goals: English essentials to socialize and be successful starting school (will be starting 2nd year of middle school); make a successful entry into her new school.
• • Additional Information: A very good student. She has been doing well in her English classes at school, but they are very basic. She loves riding horses and “acrobate de cirque” (like gymnastics, but in a “circus”-type environment).

Responsibilities:

• Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons
• Developing curricula based on learners’ proficiency level and desired outcomes
• Monitoring students’ progress and guiding learners toward learning goals
• Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner

Qualifications:

• Native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in the target language
• Certificate or degree in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second-language acquisition, or related field
• Minimum of two years of experience
