JOB TITLE: Machinist - CNC Programming and Mastercam Required

LOCATION: Greenville, SC

PAY RATE: $35.00 - $38.00 per hour

Summary:

  • Extensive experience with programming in MasterCam and experience with Haas machines.

  • Setting up/programming CNC machines, and performing quality checks on parts.

  • Read blueprints and schematics, understand technical drawings, and have a strong understanding of the principles of machining's.

  • Tasks range from setting up and operating plain or universal, horizontal, or vertical milling machines to perform machining operations such as compound angles and contours.

  • Boring compound angular holes; doing helical and spiral milling; serrating; and gear, spine, and keyway cutting to exacting tolerances.

  • May select, mount, and align various specialized machine attachments and standard or improvised tooling, plan sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup; determine, set, and adjust speeds, feeds, and depth of cut. Interprets blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications.

  • Uses a variety of machinist's hand tools and precision measuring instruments.

  • Makes standard shop computations; and measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining.

  • May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures

Required Skills:

  • 4-6 years of CNC programming and MasterCam experience required

  • 4-6 years of computerized Numerical Control (CNC) programming
