Pay: $26.80 - $28.17 per hour
Job Summary:
The Telesitter Monitor Technician provides continuous observation and surveillance of assigned patients.
- Demonstrates understanding and proficiency of the use of the AvaSys Tele Sitter Solution software.
- Responsible for keeping accurate notes in the Tele Sitting Monitor Log. Ensures Ava Sys monitors are maintained and cleaned according to infection control policies to prevent cross contamination.
- Responsible for the following P.C.T. duties: Performs vital signs including Blood Pressure, Phlebotomy venipuncture, EKG, pulse, respirations and temperature.
- Provides assistance to the patient with the activities of daily living including but not limited to bathing, feeding, positioning, mouth care, and shaving as necessary.
- Participates in a patient-focused team approach of providing direct and collaborative health care in a variety of clinical settings designed to promote and restore optimal health across the life span.
- Performs a variety of technical, para-professional, rehabilitative or therapeutic procedures and activities relating to patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures. Works under the supervision of the RN.
Job Requirements
- Patient Care Technician Certification from National Healthcareer Association - N.H.A. is required
- High School Diploma or Equivalency
- American Heart Association Certification in Basic Life Support (BCLS)
- Minimum of one year experience as Certified Nursing Assistant preferred
