Rí Rá (roughly translated as "Good Fun") has been a labor of love for Ciaran Sheehan and David Kelly, two childhood friends from Ireland, since they emigrated to the USA in the 1990’s. The duo’s mission was to create a gathering place like those pubs that they knew so well from their hometowns in Ireland. Such a place would have authentic Irish interiors, would be welcoming to all and would act as a “social hub” for the local community; a “Real Irish Local”. Rí Rá in downtown Burlington, VT, encompasses a fantastic, community oriented pub & restaurant, as well as “The Burlington Whiskey Room” on College Street We want people who support our Mission; which (to “Create Experiences That People Love”) and want to have fun in achieving it

Who You Are
- You are a “Culinarian”; you have a high level of passion for, and strong knowledge of food, food trends and culinary techniques
- You have a “Hands On” approach and like to be heavily involved with the BOH Team during each shift; including leading the line during peak business hours
- You have strong business acumen when it comes to the effective and efficient management of the BOH business
- You have strong planning, organization, time management, communication and delegation skills
- You understand “Genuine” hospitality
- You have a desire to build your BOH Team around you to propel their careers forward alongside your own
- You have a solid, proven, record of Kitchen Management experience in a high-volume, full service, scratch kitchen setting
- You ideally have ServSafe food management certification alongside any State or County required license requirements for the handling and service of food
- You ideally have an educational background with a focus in the culinary field
What You Will be Doing
- Assuming 100% responsibility and accountability for the BOH side of the business
- Leading the culinary advancement of the food menus and programs
- Leading the BOH financial (sales building and cost control), operational and personnel components of the business
- Acting as the spokesperson for the BOH in representing the brand and business at the local level
- Establishing, nurturing and maintaining trusted relationships with employees, guests, community groups, societies, vendors and local authorities
- Ensuring that all local and state laws are followed as related to the service of food and the BOH facility in general
