Job Description:

Star Pro Security Patrol, Inc. is seeking a highly responsible and vigilant Armed Security Guard to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our client's school district facilities during nighttime hours. This role involves patrolling school grounds, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, and responding to any security threats or emergencies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security, excellent observational skills, and the ability to handle high-pressure situations with composure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patrol school district properties on foot and by vehicle to monitor and ensure the safety and security of the premises.
  • Monitor and operate surveillance equipment to detect any unusual or suspicious activity.
  • Inspect buildings, gates, and fences to ensure they are properly secured.
  • Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents promptly and effectively.
  • Provide a visible deterrent against theft, vandalism, and trespassing.
  • Conduct thorough investigations of security breaches and incidents.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and investigations.
  • Follow all company and school district protocols and procedures to ensure a safe environment for students, staff, and visitors.
  • Perform other security-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional security training or certifications preferred.
  • Valid BSIS Guard Card and exposed firearm permit. 
  • Proven experience as an armed security guard or similar position.
  • Strong knowledge of public safety and security procedures and protocols.
  • Excellent observational and reporting skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
  • Physical fitness and ability to perform regular patrols and respond to emergencies.
  • MUST HAVE A VALID CA DRIVER'S LICENSE AND CLEAN DRIVING RECORD

Working Conditions:

  • This position requires working overnight shifts from Wednesday to Sunday, 10 PM to 6 AM.
  • The role involves outdoor work in various weather conditions.
  • The job may require standing, walking, and driving for extended periods.
