GENERAL SUMMARY

Reporting to the Vice President of Student Services and Chief Student Affairs Officer, the Manager of Recruitment and Admissions is a senior admissions professional responsible for managing Admissions' outreach, recruitment, and enrollment functions and staff. The Manager provides oversight and supervision to direct reports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Oversee all admissions-related events and activities, both on and off campus.
  • Provide staff leadership, direction, and supervision, including training, performance management, and evaluation.
  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the Admission Department; provide oversight to ensure quality control over information and other deliverables.
  • Ensure excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage outreach and recruitment activities, outcomes, and effectiveness, including recruitment plan development, goal setting, and maintenance of the master recruitment calendar.
  • Work with the Strategic Enrollment Management team to develop individual and departmental goals and a plan for assessment and growth.
  • Collect, share, and analyze qualitative and quantitative data from recruitment and admissions activities; collect, analyze, and share quantitative data on cohort conversion rates and other relevant metrics.
  • Serve on the College’s Strategic Enrollment Management Team.
  • Serve as liaison for issues related to outreach and recruitment with various College departments and divisions including academic departments, programs and services, marketing and communications, student life, and other enrollment services offices and external organizations and agencies.
  • Support web, publications, and media marketing efforts for identifying, attracting, admitting, and enrolling new students.
  • Maintain sensitivity, understanding, and respect for a diverse academic environment, including students, faculty, and staff of varying social, economic, cultural, ideological, and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Collaborate with external organizations to promote college admissions.
  • Other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Five years or more experience related to the profession
  • Three years or more of people management experience

Preferred Requirements:

  • Masters degree
  • Prior experience in higher education.
