Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY: 

The Infrastructure Administrator will be instrumental in managing and optimizing the organization’s network infrastructure to support business needs. This position will focus on maintaining the organization’s network environment, providing technical support for end-users and business systems, and coordinating IT activities with other departments and stakeholders. The Infrastructure Administrator will also play a key role in disaster recovery planning, systems planning, and system security.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Maintain and manage networks locally and in cloud, including the organization’s VPN, internet-based certificates, and on-prem and cloud interconnectivity.
  • Maintain and manage network topology and VLAN segregation throughout the organization, including but not limited to segregated systems access, VPN, software application provisioning, and other services that require network segregation and implementation.
  • Perform network management and patching for all network appliances.
  • Assist in maintaining the organization’s Ticketing system.
  • Ensure adequacy of the system and its implementation to support 24/7 uptime commitments.
  • Assist in budget planning and policy creation to support business network needs.
  • Assist in conducting tests of the organization’s business continuity plan to detect faults, minimize malfunctions, and support redundant network connections.
  • Supports local network hardware and licensing and recommends necessary or preemptive upgrades for budget planning.
  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for organization users.
  • Conduct software validations when necessary.
  • Assist the System Administrator in the management and maintenance of the organizations business systems.
  • Provides additional support for various IT projects and other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher required in related disciplines desired or equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 4+ years of information technology experience
  • 2+ years of infrastructure administration experience
  • 1+ years working in a Microsoft server environment.
  • 1+ years working with virtual environments.
  • 1+ years working with Azure AD and O365
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Technical Competencies

Experience with Fortinet gateways(required)

Experience with Cisco switches(required)

Experience with DHCP, DNS, VPN, IPSec, PPTP (required)

Understanding of Azure AD (preferred)

Understanding of O365 and Online Exchange (preferred)

Understanding of Windows Server On-Prem (preferred)

Behavioral & Basic Skill Competencies

Excellent troubleshooting skills.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Must be willing to work off hours for Critical Incidents

Must be a self-starter, results oriented person who works well in a team and multi-vendor environment.
