Job Summary:
The Dispatcher is pivotal in facilitating the smooth coordination of moving operations. Responsibilities include scheduling and dispatching moving crews, managing routes, and communicating with customers and team members. Dispatchers possess strong organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and the ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the efficient and timely completion of moving jobs while providing exceptional service to our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor local daily jobs to ensure that jobs are taken care of for the next day.
  • Communicate with drivers and crews to help fulfil their requests for help.
  • Coordinate schedules for moving crews, trucks, and equipment.
  • Communicate with customers to provide updates and address concerns.
  • Optimize routes to minimize travel time and fuel costs.
  • Manage resources, including equipment and personnel allocation.
  • Solve problems that arise during moving operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of job details and customer information.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience as a dispatcher or relevant position.
  • Knowledge of procedures and guidelines for emergency situations.
  • Proficient in English. (oral and written)
  • Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Active listener with excellent communication skills.
  • Sound judgment and critical thinking.

Physical Requirements

  • Primarily seated in an office location.
  • Some standing, stooping.
  • Full use of hands, arms, hearing, vision, and voice.
