WG is currently seeking an Entry Level/Experienced Tax Associate to join our rapidly expanding Tax team. As a Tax Associate, you will have the chance to enhance your professional career by working with a diverse client base, gaining exposure to various industries, and receiving direct coaching and mentoring from our highly skilled tax team. This position will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to our clients.

Description

  • Prepare federal and state tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, S corps and partnerships, as well as estate/trust returns
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure timely completion of engagements
  • Manage multiple engagements concurrently within established timelines and budgets
  • Conduct tax research and articulate results to clients and other team members to support tax positions
  • Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities
  • Develop new client relationships and enhance current relationships by providing excellent client service
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • Actively working towards obtaining your CPA, EA, or JD license; current CPA, EA, or JD license is a plus
  • 0-2 years of work experience, preferably with recent exposure to general income tax in a public accounting firm
  • Experience in Real Estate and/or International Tax is a plus
  • Ability to complete various assignments within time constraints and deadlines
  • Exceptional collaboration, communication, organization, analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to meeting deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with GoSystem, Gofile Room, and CCH would be a plus.
