Responsibilities - What do I do?

  • Oversee excellence and quality of execution of all production elements at our Broadcast location as determined by the Production Lead. This includes all aspects of AVL and streaming to other campuses.
  • Manage our St. Charles Campus. This includes general upkeep, cleanliness and general engineering of equipment; booking/calendaring the worship center time and coordinating with the Worship Dept; managing any mixes and/or exports for mixing by third parties; ordering new equipment and repairing existing equipment as needed.

Expectations - What does it take?

  • Knowledge and ongoing training of any gear being used.
  • Vision from the Production Lead so I can oversee Broadcast location well with the expectations of being a culture carrier.
  • Communication between the Broadcast Team, myself and any other departments involved in the event.
  • Preparedness - whether it’s in the studio or a broadcast event, being prepared ahead of time is crucial to the success of the session/event.
  • Feedback from the Production Lead to fully understand the vision and whether or not I am hitting the mark.
  • Lead with questions and be the first one to ask them.

Performance Measures - How do I know I am good at this?

  • That I am fulfilled in my role and that I’m striving to be an ideal team player.
  • The end result is the quality of the execution of the Broadcast event.
  • Feedback from the Production Lead.
  • Open communication with the Worship Dept about services, team morale, and recording sessions.
  • Encountering less detailed preparedness issues such as programmed transitions in event, but remaining flexible to help support the overall Church of the King staff and team.
  • More members of the team problem solving and being more prepared…this will show they are learning and owning their roles.
  • Personal evaluation - in going over the event and being honest with myself but also through prayer and listening to the Holy Spirit. Sometimes God wants to do something specific for reasons we may not understand, particularly with conversations, encounters and relationships during or around an event…I want to be open to whatever God wants to do.
