We are a full-service state-of-the-art animal hospital located in Crown Point, IN. Each one of our employees are chosen based on their compassion, skills and in-depth veterinary knowledge. We strive to create a nurturing, educational, and fun environment for all employees, clients, and animals who enter our doors.
Job Responsibilities (included but not limited to):
Supervise large groups of pets
Proper animal restraint
Assist in cleaning, stocking and maintenance of hospital and equipment
Maintain proper animal environment by cleaning kennels and providing fresh bedding and water at all times
Prepare and distribute prescribed diets
Assist doctors and technicians as needed
Client Service
Client education
Medication preparation and administration
Assist grooming staff with bathing and handling
Requirements:
Love and compassion for animals
Positive attitude
Minimum of 1yr animal handling experience preferred, but will train the right individual
Must be able to multitask in a fast paced environment
Detail-oriented, outgoing, reliable and honest
Client service experience
Able to meet the demands of a physically and mentally challenging job
Weekend, evening and holiday availability
Physical Obligations:
Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Endure standing and walking on hard floor surfaces for extended periods of time
Able to work in noisy work conditions with sounds from animals and equipment
