MANUFACTURING TECHNICIAN I


MEDTHERM, part of the Raptor Scientific family, a Global Aerospace & Defense Test and Measurement Company, is seeking a full-time motivated Manufacturing Technician with strength in electronics to join their team. As a member of our Production Team, the primary focus of this role is to be responsible for the manufacture and assembly of products including routine electronics packaging, assembly, and testing duties.


Location: Newby Road, Huntsville, AL

Hours: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assemble and test electronic components and assemblies.
  • Assist with daily manufacturing duties, system build-up, integration, and testing.
  • Perform support system-level troubleshooting.
  • Assist with technical documentation.
  • Assist with other daily duties as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 0-3 years experience assembling and packaging of electronic components, including chassis build-up and testing.
  • Basic knowledge of electronics concepts, cable assembly, soldering and crimping techniques, or desire to develop.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in the electronics field.
  • Electronic troubleshooting skills.
  • Experienced in the use of multi-meters.
  • Quick learning ability and strong productive work ethic.
  • Mechanical abilities, including the use of power hand tools/equipment.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable to meet changing needs within the department.
  • Consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Physical ability to lift, push, or pull up to 40 pounds or assist in lifting large items.
  • Ability to read schematic diagrams is a plus.
  • Ability to work on small component assembly using a microscope is a big plus.
