Connections for Kids is one of Maine’s leading mental health agencies. Our tight-knit group of talented individuals are united by a common path to purpose and have been making a difference in the lives of children and families for 26 years.
Position: Lead Residential Youth Counselor
Schedule:
- Sunday 7 am - 10 pm
- Monday 2:30-11 pm
- Tuesday 2:30-11 pm
- Wednesday 1 pm - 9 pm
Job Description:
Park Place Gorham is a small, therapeutic residential group home for six boys ages 7-13. Our Group Home Workers provide daily structure and care for the children and work to provide support, behavioral management skills, crisis intervention and a constructive environment to help them fulfill their potential and set them on a path for success. We pride ourselves on providing excellent services to our residents and creating a positive staff culture.
Qualifications:
- Have a completed High School Diploma, 90 completed credits from an accredited college or university preferred,
- Leadership experience,
- Experience working with children with mental health and behavioral challenges,
- BHP certification preferred,
- CRMA, CPR, First Aid and Safety Care preferred,
- Hold a valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
