Job Title: Teletherapist - Mental Health
Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teletherapist to join our mental health team. As a Teletherapist, you will provide virtual counseling and therapy sessions to individuals dealing with various mental health issues. Using telecommunication technologies, you will offer support, guidance, and evidence-based interventions to help clients navigate their challenges and improve their overall well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct virtual therapy sessions with clients via secure video conferencing platforms.
- Assess clients' mental health concerns, symptoms, and needs through comprehensive evaluations and ongoing assessments.
- Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique goals, strengths, and challenges.
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions to address a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties.
- Provide empathetic support and guidance to help clients explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and develop coping strategies and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborate with clients to set achievable goals and monitor progress throughout the therapeutic process.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including session notes, treatment plans, and progress reports, in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and professional codes of ethics governing teletherapy practice.
- Participate in regular supervision, case consultations, and continuing education to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Stay informed about advancements in the field of mental health and teletherapy, and incorporate new research and best practices into clinical practice.
Qualifications:
- Master's or doctoral degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a mental health professional (e.g., Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) in the state where services will be provided.
- Prior experience providing therapy or counseling services, preferably in a teletherapy or remote setting.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build therapeutic alliances with clients remotely.
- Comfort and proficiency in using telecommunication technologies and virtual therapy platforms.
- Commitment to cultural competence, diversity, equity, and inclusion in mental health practice.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in accordance with professional guidelines and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with diverse populations, including individuals from different cultural backgrounds, identities, and life experiences.
- Specialized training or expertise in specific therapeutic modalities or areas of practice (e.g., cognitive-behavioral therapy, trauma-informed and care.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and teletherapy platforms commonly used in mental health practice.
- Bilingual or multilingual proficiency is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- This is a remote position, allowing flexibility in work location.
- Tele-therapists must have a private and secure environment conducive to conducting therapy sessions.
