The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) mission is to inspire curiosity through engaging science learning experiences, foster experimentation and the exchange of ideas, and stimulate informed action. Join our team as the Institutional Giving Officer and be a part of igniting an education transformation at the intersection of science and technology that spreads opportunities across the Northwest


The Institutional Giving Officer is responsible for building and maintaining a portfolio of foundation donors to help OMSI achieve its strategic and operational goals. This position will actively incorporate diversity, equity, access, and inclusion initiatives throughout portfolio stewardship and activities that support organizational values and strategic priorities.


This position will work closely with members of the Development team on the identification, solicitation, cultivation, and stewardship of donors and prospects. This position serves as the key writer for the department, and they are responsible for writing over 50 proposals and 20 reports annually to local and regional funders.

Position is eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes:


  • 2 weeks of vacation per year with no waiting period. Hours carry over year to year up to 200 hours.
  • 2 weeks of sick time per year with no waiting period. Hours carry over year to year up to 520 hours.
