Job DescriptionJob Description Koester Construction is looking to hire a full-time Superintendent local to central Iowa. If you have a track record of experience effectively communicating, coordinating, and leading subcontractors to complete quality work on time and within budget, we invite you to apply.

6+ years of commercial construction experience is required. 3+ years of field leadership experience is required.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of the construction project from planning to implementation
• Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors
• Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients
• Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications
• Work in a manner aligned with our Core Values of Teamwork, Safety, Integrity, and Excellence

Qualifications:

• 6+ years commercial construction leadership experience
• Willingness to travel
• Knowledge of construction scheduling
• Strong leadership qualities
• Strong negotiation skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Valid driver's license (must be insurable)
• Reliable transportation, punctuality, and reliability
• Must own basic hand tools, and have the ability to use/operate basic carpentry tools
