Job DescriptionJob DescriptionBadger State Staffing is looking for Entry-Level Machine Assistants to join a well-known client in Weyauwega. This Entry-Level Machine Assistants temp-to-hire opportunity is a foot in the door with a major manufacturer and allows you to grow into a Machine Operator position. This position is not overly physical. This company is open to working with candidates new to the manufacturing industryThe company has great benefits and pays double the time on Sundays. The Entry Level Machine Assistant performs all tasks involved in the production of Presto Products, ensuring safe and efficient production by following standard work methods and practices. This position frequently handles products 1-25 lbs.Entry-Level Machine Assistant Job Duties:
  • Make safety your number one priority by driving our safety initiatives. Expected to communicate any and all unsafe conditions, unsafe behaviors, near misses, incidents, and/or accidents to a Supervisor or Manager immediately.
  • Communicate any product quality concerns to the first available Supervisor or Manager within a timely manner.
  • Communicate any packaging concerns to the first available Supervisor or Manager in a timely manner.
  • Make spools, restock supplies, put finished rolls away, take out full skids, and assist with startups.
  • Package finished goods into boxes.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work areas by sweeping, dusting, and removing trash from the area on a daily/weekly basis.
  • Expected to complete all assigned tasks in accordance with Standard Work Procedures.
  • Provides support for the operation team by working safely to feed material into machines, inspect product for defects, and pack finished goods in correct configuration.
  • Responsible to comply with best practices and programs to ensure safe product packaging.
Entry-Level Machine Assistant Requirements:
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work 12-hour swing shifts on a 2-2-3 schedule
