Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical ICU

Location: Dallas, TX

Work Schedule:

  • Shift: 12-hour nights.
  • Days Per Week: 3.
  • Scheduled Hours: 36 hours per week.
  • Shift Start Time: 07:00 PM.
  • Shift End Time: 07:00 AM.

Compensation:

  • Minimum Rate Per Hour: $32
  • Maximum Rate Per Hour: $53


Job Summary:


As a Registered Nurse in our Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) and be part of a team dedicated to providing world-class healthcare. Medical ICU Unit Highlights:


  • Patient Population: Sepsis, pneumonia/respiratory failure, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), multi-organ system failure, diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), post-cardiac arrest, target temperature management (TTM), massive transfusion, GI bleed, stroke overflow, overdose, maternal health/obstetrics complications.
  • Patient Ratios: 1:2.
  • Department Specifics: 40-bed closed unit with 24/7 coverage by Intensive Care Physicians. Daily multidisciplinary rounds include pharmacists, advanced practice providers (APPs), physicians, social workers, nutritionists, and respiratory therapists. The unit has shared governance committees focused on staffing/scheduling, quality improvements (CLABSI, CAUTI, SKIN), and employee recognition and retention. Nurses have opportunities to attend national conferences such as Magnet and NTI. The unit offers a 16-week Residency Program and a 1-year Transition to Practice Program.

Registered Nurse Requirements:

  • Education: Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of ICU experience required.
  • License/Certification:
  • RN - Registered Nurse.
  • BLS - Basic Life Support (required within 30 days of hire).
