The One 23 Group, a Virginia-based Government Contractor, seeks a Database / System Administrator local to the Washington, DC Metropolitan area.

Requirements:

  • Contributes to metadata standards and strategy in conjunction with data governance leadership by creating a data catalogue to inventory and organizing all of the Intelligence Community data assets in the enterprise metadata repository.
  • Creates process and manage key agency projects to oversee that delivery is consistent with data governance guidelines.
  • Participates in IC driven Data Standards committees and team discussions regarding data acquisitions, archive recovery, and implementation of the Intelligence Community Data Lakes and Warehouses.
  • Designs and oversees development of stewardship dashboards and related reporting and workflows associated with the metadata tools.
  • Plans and manages the development of efficient metadata ingestion processes with the goal of keeping the enterprise metadata repository synchronized with source systems.
  • Perform full system upgrades and repairs (Linux and Windows).
  • Troubleshoot and repair operating system (OS) and hardware issues.
  • Perform daily and weekly system backups and recovery while maintaining a log of system problems, errors, failures, and downtime metrics.
  • Maintain hardware and software inventory lists and install software releases and upgrades.
  • Evaluate and install security patches.
  • Create and ensures operation of Active Directory and DNS.
  • Create accounts and set up user specific access while maintaining group policies and procedures.
  • Acquire system accreditation and ensures personnel comply with system security policies.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ Years of related field or work experience is estimated.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience using Microsoft Office suite applications.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience using Oracle RDBMS.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience using postgreSQL RDBMS.
  • Ability to create and run PowerShell applications.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience in Windows/Linux Administration.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience using Tomcat and JBoss Servers.

Desired – possess at least one (1) of the following (or other relevant certification):

  • Experience with PHP, Python, C#, C++.
  • Experience using the Intelligence Community computer systems, non-cloud web servers, AWS cloud, security, and familiarity with the Enterprise computer network.
  • Experience within software/web development field with both government and/or commercial experience.
  • Experience with relational database and performing database administration using SQL.
  • Experience with ColdFusion.
  • Experience working with AngularJS, Web Services, SQL, and MySQL.
  • Experience with Enterprise Services such as PeopleSoft, GEOAxIS, etc.
  • Experience with other languages as applicable (Python, Model Glue, etc.)
