The sweeper truck driver is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of our plant, parking lot and surrounding roads by operating safely and clearing all areas of debris. Manual removal of certain materials in areas may be required and is not limited to parking lots, sidewalks, curbs, building entrances and hard to reach areas.

Requirements:

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Operate Sweeper equipment (trucks) and be required to inspect them daily to ensure safe operation.
  2. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
  3. Power sweep paved parking lot areas
  4. Manual removal of debris from parking lots, sidewalks, curbs, building entrances, and hard to reach areas.

Job Requirements/Skills

  1. Must have driving experience
  2. Must have a clean driving record
  3. Positive attitude
  4. Self-motivated
  5. Dependable

Education/Experience

  1. High school diploma or GED

Physical Requirements

  1. Must have sufficient physical mobility and agility to access trucks, roll off containers and equipment in the facility
  2. Strong sensory skills, such as good eyesight, good hearing and dexterity
  3. Exposure to physical operations in scrap recycling facilities, including walking/climbing in active industrial yards with uneven surfaces in inclement weather
