Gateway Rehab has an outstanding opportunity for an Outreach Specialist in Erie, PA. The Specialist will be responsible for promoting Gateway Rehabilitation Center / Community Transition Centers Erie to generate patient referrals and program revenue for adult male residential drug and alcohol program.


Responsibilities

  • Serves as the point of contact for referral sources.
  • Screens referrals for appropriate level of care and program admission.
  • Coordinates admissions and maintains program bed availability.
  • Promotion of GRC through sales-oriented personal contact.
  • Identify potential referral sources and develop new patient referral opportunities.
  • Develop and implement an ongoing marketing strategy for assigned area of responsibility.
  • Travel on an as-needed basis to contact referral sources.
  • Document in detail outreach activities on a weekly basis.
  • Attend mandatory Gateway training and in-services.
  • Attend outside training/conferences as deemed necessary.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess effective public speaking ability.
  • Effective time management & coordination of activity.
  • Computer literacy required.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Clinical experience in the substance use disorders field.
Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field.
  • Experience in drug and alcohol counseling and evaluation.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

Preferred Requirements

  • Master’s degree.

Other Requirements

  • Pass a PA Criminal Background Check and Department of Corrections clean check.
  • Obtain PA Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprinting Clearances.
  • Pass drug screen.
  • TB Test.
  • Valid driver’s license and favorable driving record. Must carry adequate personal automobile insurance.

Work Conditions

  • Remote and Office Environment (Department of Corrections).
  • Physical demands include but are not limited to travel on a regular basis.
  • Flexible schedule with some evening and weekend hours.
