PLC Engineer

As a PLC Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining programmable logic control systems to automate industrial processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, implement control strategies, and optimize PLC programs for enhanced system performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. System Design and Programming:

   • Design and develop PLC programs based on project requirements.
   • Program and configure PLCs to control machinery and processes.
   • Develop human-machine interface (HMI) applications for visualization and control.

2. System Integration:

   • Integrate PLC systems with other control devices, sensors, and communication networks.
   • Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to ensure seamless integration of control systems.

3. Testing and Debugging:

   • Conduct thorough testing of PLC programs to ensure functionality and reliability.
   • Identify and resolve issues through systematic debugging and troubleshooting.

4. Documentation:

   • Create and maintain detailed documentation for PLC programs, wiring diagrams, and system configurations.
   • Keep records of changes made to PLC programs and configurations.

5. Commissioning:

   • Assist in the commissioning of new systems, ensuring proper functionality and performance.
   • Conduct on-site testing and troubleshooting during the startup phase.

6. Maintenance and Upgrades:

   • Provide ongoing support for installed PLC systems, addressing issues and implementing improvements.
   • Perform routine maintenance and recommend upgrades to enhance system capabilities.

7. Collaboration:

   • Work closely with project managers, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to meet project goals and deadlines.
   • Collaborate with maintenance teams to implement preventive maintenance programs.
