POSITION SUMMARY:

The New Construction Home Sales Trainer is responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive training programs to empower our sales team with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in a competitive market. This role involves designing and implementing diverse training methods, assessing training needs, and providing ongoing coaching and support in collaboration with Sales and Division leadership. Additionally, the Sales Trainer will ensure all training materials are current and accessible, continuously improving programs based on feedback and performance metrics. This position requires a deep understanding of new construction home sales, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for mentoring and developing sales professionals.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Train and mentor sales consultants, offering personalized support services.
  • Conduct training sessions on sales techniques, product knowledge, customer service, and company policies using diverse methods like classroom instruction, hands-on demonstrations, role-playing, and virtual training.
  • Provide ongoing coaching to ensure continuous improvement and reinforcement of training.
  • Develop, oversee, and manage new hire training programs in collaboration with Sales and Division leadership, assisting in onboarding to equip new consultants with necessary tools and knowledge.
  • Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, testing, and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with various departments to identify and address potential issues.
  • Design engaging training courses incorporating gamification and role-playing activities.
  • Oversee the mentor program, ensuring its effectiveness in achieving mentoring and coaching goals.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive training documentation, manuals, and resources.
  • Manage the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring all materials and courses are up-to-date and accessible.
  • Analyze LMS data and feedback to continually enhance training programs and track sales consultants' progress.
  • Support corporate sales training and implement regular sales training events within the division including mystery shops and role-playing opportunities
  • Stay current with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to maintain relevant training programs.
  • Promote and reinforce corporate expectations for brand, culture, and performance
  • Perform other projects and duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, education, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in new home construction sales or a similar field.
  • Proven experience in training and development, preferably in a sales environment.
  • Strong ability to lead, motivate, and mentor sales teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes and techniques specific to new construction homes.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire sales teams to achieve their goals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CRM software (e.g., HubSpot).
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed to conduct training sessions at various locations.
