Overview:

As a successful Beertender, your job duties and major tasks will consist of assisting with the day-to-day operations of providing alcohol services in an effective and responsible way at The Ripken Experience Myrtle Beach. This is a seasonal position from February 2024 until November 2024.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve canned, alcoholic beverages to customers.
  • Verify the customers’ ages to ensure they are of legal age to consume alcohol.
  • Process payments using Square POS.
  • Make suggestions based on customers’ tastes and preferences.
  • Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.

Qualifications:

  • Outgoing, friendly personality.
  • Ability to work during the day or evening as determined by supervisor.
  • Required to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the business.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Positive team attitude.
  • Ability and willingness to physically perform all job responsibilities.

Special Physical Requirements of the Job/Working Conditions:

  • Routinely required to work extended hours of time including weekdays/nights, and weekends.
  • Must be able to move quickly to assist customers.
  • Reach for high placed boxes and items, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and climb stairs.
  • Routinely lift or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand for long periods of time.
  • Routinely exposed to extreme hot/cold weather conditions, dust and particles, and loud noises.
