Overview
The Day Center Supervisor provides leadership, resources, and support to our day center nurse aide team in the daily delivery of care and service. The Day Center Supervisor is an actively engaged member of the Interdisciplinary Team and plays a critical role in ensuring that care and services align with the PACE Model of care and in accordance with the participant Life Plan and goals of care.
What you’ll do
- Create a positive workplace culture through CENA engagement and professional development.
- Ensure CENAs are equipped with the knowledge, resources, and support to complete job responsibilities with excellence.
- Develops departmental standard operating procedures for clean communication and understanding of work responsibilities.
- Actively engage in team meetings and ensure critical information is communicate to CENAs effectively and efficiently.
- Regularly monitors department activities for effectiveness and quality outcomes.
- Facilitates the integration of new participants into LifeCircles center.
- Works collaboratively with the CENA team leader to develop and delegate department activities.
- Ensures staffing ratios align with participant care needs and regulatory requirements.
- Actively engages in inclement weather activities and coordination of services for these events.
- Ensures care plans remain current, are followed, and documented timely in the HER.
- Embraces Positive Approach to Care (PAC) and is an active PAC Champion providing mentoring to others.
- Completes human resource functions for the department i.e. payroll, PTO approval, schedules, expenses..)
What it takes
- Associates degree preferred
- A minimum of 2 years working in a health care environment is required
- Leadership, supervisory,and health care related program oversight responsibilities required
- Must have reliable transportation and a current valid Michigan driver’s license.
- Must possess current CPR certification by AHA or be willing and able to obtain as offered by LifeCircles.
- Minimum of one year of experience working with the frail elderly, or long-term care population
