Essential Purpose: To manage, train, and assist the housekeeping staff and operations to ensure cleanliness, safety, and aesthetic appeal of the hotel. To enforce all hotel standards and ensure optimum service to our guests.

Essential Duties:

• To follow all specified procedures to satisfactorily perform routine laundry handling tasks as directed, including sorting and folding linens and terries; loading, unloading, and operating washers and dryers.
• To report to work in the required uniform, including own name tag, and in adherence to Temecula Creek Inn’s dress code Policy.
• To check laundry room chemicals daily, and notify Managers when levels fall to half full.
• To maintain cleanliness and working order of all laundry room equipment, and promptly report any problems/issues.
• To assist, as directed, in other linen handling tasks, including culling, taking inventory, and recycling or disposal of outworn items.
• To Rewash stained Terry as directed by Housekeeping Managers
• To Fold and sort Terry and Linen as directed by Housekeeping Managers
• To clean lint traps in washers and dryers at least every two hours.
• To Retrieve linen from third-party Vendors and fold in sets as directed by Housekeeping Managers.
• To provide telephone support to the housekeepers as requested.
• To promote & comply with all policies and procedures of Temecula Creek Inn
• To immediately report all suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions to a manager immediately for investigation and follow-up.
• To always practice safe work habits, to avoid injury to self and others, including compliance with company and departmental safety rules and regulations and the proper use and handling of all relevant equipment.
• To ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of all hazardous chemicals used by housekeeping employees, in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• To complete all assigned tasks in accordance with all safety procedures as defined by Temecula Creek Inn at all times and without exception.
• To maintain the cleanliness and safety of work areas at all times.
• To practice safe work habits at all times, to avoid injury to self and others.
• To attend all mandatory meetings, as directed.
• To perform other tasks, including cross-training, as directed.

Knowledge + Education: Able to speak, read, and write basic English, and to follow simple verbal and written instructions. Able to read and understand chemical labels. Previous hotel experience preferred.

Skills: Detail-oriented, Organized and efficient, Safety-minded, High-quality standards for production and service, Courteous, Respectful and friendly manner, Team player, able to work productively with minimum supervision. Trustworthy and reliable.

Physical Demands: Stand for long period of time throughout shift, use appropriate hand trucks, Bends, stoops, and reaches to perform routine job tasks. Flexibility and good reflexes required, Minimal walking and use of stairs.
