The Contract Beautician/Barber shall provide beautician services to the patients at Logansport State Hospital including, but not limited to, haircuts, permanents, S-Curl, relaxers, color, sets and beard trimming.
The Contract Beautician/Barber will report to the Rehabilitation Director.
The Contract Beautician/Barber will maintain a current license.
The Contract Beautician/Barber may work up to 18.75 hours per week providing services as needed/scheduled.
The Contract Beautician/Barber will be required to prepare a daily record of time and services rendered.
The Contract Beautician/Barber may utilize use hair cutting/care instruments and products provided by Logansport State Hospital.
The Contract Beautician/Barber will follow all sanitation procedures of Logansport State Hospital.
The Contract Beautician/Barber may be required to escort patients to/from their home units. As need arises, the Contract Beautician/Barber may need to provide hair cutting services on the unit.
The Contract Beautician/Barber will work with hospital staff by maintaining an inventory of supplies and working with hospital staff when ordering supplies is needed.
Orientation will be required and will include Bridge Building, CPR and selected topics that are necessary per the hospital orientation schedule. Annual refresher courses will be required as well as computer courses for hospital required trainings.
