Position: Business Analyst
Location: Remote
Duration: 6 Months

Job Purpose:

The Enterprise Business Analyst is responsible for discerning business needs, developing requirements, and designing business functions to solve complex enterprise-wide problems through technology and/or business process solutions. This role involves facilitating work sessions, documenting requirements, developing specifications, defining scope, and finding synergies across concurrent project activities. The ultimate goal is to ensure the quality, cost-effectiveness, and timeliness of key business services and regulatory requirements. The position works directly with technology partners to translate business functional design into technical solutions and serves as a liaison between business and technology partners.

Major Job Functions/Components:

  • Facilitate construction of specific complex solutions through scoping documents, risk assessments, and financial requirements.
  • Elicit business requirements and review, analyze, and develop applicable business processes.
  • Conduct business analysis to validate designs and prioritize requirements.
  • Create and document business solutions and ensure end-to-end traceability.
  • Serve as a trusted expert advisor or Subject Matter Expert for analysis and process design services.
  • Provide consultancy and advice to business partners on technology-enabled and process-enabled solutions.
  • Review documents and models produced by Business Analysts and peers.
  • Support program and portfolio management goals through assessment of business solutions.
  • Advocate for appropriate enterprise-wide standards for analysis and process documentation.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry-aligned practices for requirements definition and management.
  • Interpret and translate impacts, risks, and gaps across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Communicate effectively with individuals and groups of all levels.
  • Lead analysis to define, analyze, and develop enterprise solutions.

Hiring Requirements/Qualifications:
Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of analysis experience, or
  • In lieu of a degree, 10 years of analysis experience required.
  • PC Skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio/Visual Design.

Professional Certification:

  • CBAP Certification (desired) or equivalent BA certification and advanced related graduate degree.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, Design for Six Sigma, or TQM certification preferred.

Additional Education/Experience Preferences:

  • Graduate Degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated facilitation skills, leadership, and practice leadership.
  • Ability to inspire trust, facilitate leadership alignment, and escalate issues professionally.
  • Experience in, or knowledge of, the healthcare industry, customer service industry, and/or management consulting preferred.

Requirements Management:

  • Experience with functional specifications, business process validation, and industry-aligned methodologies.
  • Experience with technical specifications, test strategies, test plans, and test results.

Business Process Excellence:

  • Experience with process design, process documentation, and analysis.

Soft Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong quantitative skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, presentation skills.
  • Ability to assess risk and resolve conflicts.
  • Creative, experienced self-starter with strong interpersonal skills.
