Career TEAM is looking to hire a Workshop Facilitator/ Retention and Resource Navigator (RRN) who will serve as our facilitator providing training using the Career EDGE Platform and organizing other training. They will also be responsible for triaging customers and assisting with customer flow and needs. This role provides an extra layer of customer service for the customers and staff to assess the base layer of customer service, understand customers' needs, and initiate a warm handoff for all services. This position is expected to be based on-site at one of our seven primary locations in Ventura County, CA.

Your Impact on Career TEAM's Success:

  • Responsible for the coordination, facilitation, and creation of workshops and presentations that promote workforce services, job search tools/resources, and job-keeping skills, both in-person and virtually.
  • Coordinate workshop schedules and invite partners to present (based on the needs of participants) at partner agencies throughout the county.
  • Ability to learn and present Career Edge platform lessons and resources to the community and partners.
  • Outreach and present within the community at events, meetings, and networking opportunities to expand knowledge of workforce services and partner programs.
  • Engage clients by discussing the range of available services and the potential benefits
  • Serve as a client advocate to provide direction and support by creating and monitoring processes that will ensure client success in the learning environment
  • Critique resumes and other written job search tools to assist customers in obtaining employment.
  • Track and monitor orientation and workshop participation, attendance, and conversion to enrollment.
  • Serve as primary initial liaison between customer and services provided
  • Assist customers with program registrations, and basic intake requirements for eligibility.
  • Administer and proctor basic skills & career assessments.(online and in-person)
  • Customer triage to ensure customers' needs are met and exception customer service is given
  • Greet visitors warmly and make sure they are comfortable
  • Serve as backup to the Resource Room Navigators as needed
  • Approach each day and task with a "ZAG" mindset
  • Other duties and projects as needed

To Qualify for This Role, You Must Have:

  • Associate's degree or higher or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
  • Ability to listen to customers, analyze expressed needs, and use good judgment in suggesting solutions or next steps
  • Familiarity with office machines (e.g., fax, printer, etc.)
  • Ability to work in a variety of settings with a culturally diverse customer base with the ability to be culturally sensitive
  • Experience in Career Services and Recruiting is considered extremely valuable
  • Strong problem-solving skills and proven ability to multi-task
  • Personal computer literacy is required, including effective use of the Internet, Google Suite tools, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Zoom
  • Must be able to research employment-related skills and topics and develop lessons.
  • Able to conduct customer satisfaction surveys, and collect and analyze data for reporting purposes.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills
  • Exceptional time management skills to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A Valid Driver's License

Salary: $60,000/yr. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.

Travel: The position may require local travel up to 50% of the time
