What you need to be successful

To be successful in the role of a Bus Driver at The Arc of Chemung-Schuyler, you must possess a range of essential skills and qualifications. As a key member of our transportation team, you should be friendly, trustworthy, reliable, and safe, with a genuine passion for assisting individuals in our community to access transportation services for increased independence. Candidates must have a valid and clean CDL Driver's License with a minimum of 3 years of driving experience, along with a Passenger or School Bus endorsement. Comfort and willingness to drive in various weather conditions are essential, as well as the ability to operate computer systems, email, and in-vehicle technologies. Additionally, candidates must be physically capable of meeting the demands of the job, including vehicle inspections, passenger assistance, and adherence to DOT regulations, such as passing a Federal DOT Driver Physical and Pre-employment Drug Test.
