Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Part-Time School Social Worker to join our team and foster positive transformation in the lives of elementary school students.
- Hours: 8:00 AM - 2:30 PM (approximately)
- Duration: August 15th - May 30th
- Employment Type: Part-time (.4 FTE)
- Location: Barrington, IL
In this position, you will:
- Play a crucial part in supporting students from Kindergarten through 5th grade
- Work within one school building with a collaborative and supportive team
- Participate in regular department meetings
- Provide targeted support to identified students, focusing on their social, emotional, and academic well-being
- Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to best meet student needs

Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted support to identified students in the elementary setting
- Implement crisis intervention strategies to ensure student well-being and success
- Advocate for students’ holistic welfare (social, emotional, academic)
- Collaborate with teachers and families to understand how to best meet student needs
- Facilitate IEP meetings and develop interventions to ensure IEP effectiveness
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Master’s (MSW) or Doctoral degree in Social Work
- License eligible in the State of Illinois
- Previous experience in an elementary school setting is preferred
