Otolaryngology (ENT) Physician

The Otolaryngology (ENT) Physician will be responsible for providing complete clinical care for all patients under the direction of the Medical Director and by written protocols. ENT Physician works in conjunction with the Medical Director in implementing and maintaining quality care programs.
Otolaryngologist - diagnose and treat injuries or illnesses of disorders of the ears, nose, throat, and head and neck – including infections, benign or malignant tumors, trauma, balance disorders, hearing loss, swallowing and voice disorders, plastic or reconstructive surgery, etc. Examine patients; take medical histories; prescribe medications; and order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests. Counsel patients on diet, hygiene, and preventive healthcare.
General job duties include:
- Document and update charts and patient information to show findings and treatments
- Order tests and consultations for other physicians or healthcare staff to perform
- Review test results to identify abnormal findings
- Recommend, design, and implement a long-term treatment plan
- Address concerns or answer questions that patients have about their health and well-being
- Help patients take care of their health by discussing topics such as proper nutrition and hygiene
- Management of services in accordance with established Clinic's policies/procedures and contracted service under CHDP, Managed Medical Care and other medical programs and guidelines
Required Education/Experience and or Licensure/Certifications
- Working knowledge of e-scripts
- Active California Medical License (M.D. or D.O.)
- Board Eligible/Certified
- Current BLS Certification
- CPR Card (Adult, Child and Infant)
- Medi-Care & Medi-Cal Provider
