Title: Inventory Control Specialist
Reports to: Distribution Manager
Classification: Hourly / Non-Exempt

The Inventory Control Specialist - Retail will direct and monitor the activities of the Inventory Control program to improve accuracy and diminish loss primarily through the efforts of store and distribution staff. Responsibilities will include establishing standards and targets, measuring inventory accuracy, identifying improvement opportunities, proposing solutions, and providing status reports

What You Will Do

1. Strategically manage and improve the weekly cycle count program in stores, focusing on high velocity and high loss items, to enhance customer service and identify causes of loss.

2. Ensure accurate and timely execution of weekly cycle counts at the stores and validate inventory adjustments through the aisle maintenance program.

3. Analyze inventory discrepancies, identify trends, and provide effective solutions.

4. Monitor Negative Counts, Special Orders, and damaged inventories.

5. Develop and maintain standardized operating procedures for inventory adjustments in stores.

6. Collaborate with IT, Accounting, and Purchasing departments to implement control systems, specify inventory counting tools, and provide training for associates.

· Excellent customer service skills, dependability and a team player mindset

· Pass a pre-employment physical & drug screen

· High School Diploma or equivalent
