Job Details:
CLYNK is looking for an experienced, skilled, and reliable Mechanical Maintenance Technician to help keep our processing centers running smoothly. The ideal candidate will have experience performing maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment. Most importantly, we need a self-motivated person who is willing to learn and has a talent for diagnosing and forming a plan to repair mechanical issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation of troubleshooting and repair skills, but we will train the right candidate on any and all skills needed to succeed with the equipment in our warehouses. The job may sometimes assist production by moving loads with a forklift, moving trucks in the parking lot, or other related tasks.
This is a full-time position based out of our Biddeford, ME location with a variable schedule, including weekend and evening availability, based on seasonal demand and operational needs. There will be occasional travel to other work sites including Oakland, ME and South Portland, ME.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a wide variety of hand tools and power tools
- Examine machinery for excessive wear
- Perform basic and routine adjustments and maintenance
- Complete preventative maintenance activities according to schedule
- Complete basic electrical and hydraulic repairs on machinery
- Complete welding and metal work
- Document and maintain accurate records
- Forklift operation
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 2+ years’ experience working in a manufacturing or operational plant environment
- Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge
- Understanding of OSHA requirements
- Reliable, punctual, and ability to operate self-sufficiently
- Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods of time
- Ability to twist, bend, kneel, reach, push, pull, climb, and lift up to 60lbs frequently
- Maintain flexibility to work weekends and evenings as needed
- Maintain valid driver’s license and successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Record check
