The Maintenance Mechanic / Millwright will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery and equipment within our industrial manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and Maintain Equipment: Install, align, and maintain machinery and equipment, including conveyors, motors, pumps, and other industrial systems.
- Perform Repairs: Diagnose mechanical issues, disassemble and repair faulty equipment, and reassemble and test machinery to ensure proper functioning.
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular preventive maintenance tasks, including lubrication, inspection, and adjustments, to ensure optimal equipment performance and prevent breakdowns.
- Troubleshooting: Quickly and accurately troubleshoot mechanical problems, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Read Blueprints and Schematics: Interpret and work from technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to install and repair machinery.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used in accordance with company policies.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification in industrial maintenance, millwright, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic or millwright in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Skills:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of industrial machinery and equipment.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Basic welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
- Familiarity with electrical systems and controls is a plus.
