WHAT YOUR DAY ENTAILS

In this full-time Vet Tech - Animal Care Specialist role, your responsibilities are varied and essential to ensuring the well-being of our patients. You'll begin by welcoming and triaging incoming pets, collecting vital signs, and interviewing pet owners to obtain patient history. Your skillful handling of blood samples and diagnostic testing, including fecal samples, cytology slides, gram stains, and digital X-rays, contributes to accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.

Your role extends to surgical support, where you'll assist with preparations and maintain a sterile environment. Post-surgery, you'll closely monitor patients during recovery, ensuring their safety and comfort. Administering medications and providing clear at-home dosage instructions to clients is a crucial aspect of your day, as is maintaining meticulous patient records. Your dedication to these responsibilities enables us to provide exceptional veterinary care and make a lasting impact on the lives of our cherished animal patients.

QUALIFICATIONS

We're looking for a Vet Tech - Animal Care Specialist who can work 8 AM - 5 PM, Monday through Friday, and occasionally 8 AM - 12 PM on Saturdays. Our ideal candidate can also meet the following:

• Experience as a veterinary technician or in a similar role
• Knowledge of animal care and handling
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to multitask and maintain organization in a busy environment
• Patience and a genuine love for animals

Being a CVT, RVT, LVT, or experienced veterinary technician is preferred. However, training can be provided for the right candidate.
