Location:Washington, CT

Salary:$80-85K depending on experience plus benefits

Overview:

Active family is seeking a Laundress to assist with the smooth operation of their Washington, CT residence. Candidates must be experienced working in a fine home and can demonstrate skills in all aspects of comprehensive clothing maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Handle all aspects of laundry, including washing, drying, and ironing clothing, linens and other fabrics
• Manage delicate fabrics and follow specific care instructions and proper handling for various materials
• Organizing, separating, and washing all household laundry and linens
• Pressing, steaming, and mending or alterations of clothing
• Folding and storing clothing and household linens
• Sorting and sending items for dry cleaning, as needed
• Maintaining inventory of clothing and linens
• Performing spot removal or arranging for professional cleaning
• Maintaining supplies in the laundry room
• Keeping laundry equipment clean and well-maintained

Qualifications:

• Ability to handle delicate materials and high-end clothing items
• Experience with rotary iron and garment steamer
• Professional with previous formal home experience
• Able to help with additional housekeeping duties as needed
• Comfortable with dogs (2)
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Professionalism and discretion in all aspects of the job
• Longevity in previous roles with excellent & verifiable references
• Flexibility in working hours
• Drivers license and ability to drive in all weather and settings
