Job Summary: CLINICAL SUPERVISION PROVIDED for CSAC or LPC


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Substance Use Counselor to join our team. The Substance Use Counselor will work closely with individuals struggling with substance abuse to provide support, guidance, and assistance in their recovery journey. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of addiction, excellent communication skills, and a strong desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine clients' substance abuse history, background, and treatment needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clients' specific goals and needs
- Provide counseling and therapy to clients, utilizing evidence-based practices and techniques
- Conduct group therapy sessions to address common challenges and provide a supportive environment for clients to share their experiences
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and social workers, to ensure a holistic approach to treatment
- Monitor clients' progress throughout their treatment and make necessary adjustments to the treatment plan as needed
- Educate clients and their families about the nature of addiction, treatment options, and strategies for relapse prevention
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client interactions and treatment progress
- Stay informed about current research, emerging trends, and best practices in the field of substance abuse counseling to continuously improve treatment techniques

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field
- Valid certification or licensure as a Substance Abuse Counselor (e.g., CADC, CADAC) is strongly preferred
- Experience working with individuals struggling with substance abuse, preferably in a clinical or counseling setting
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices and approaches in addiction treatment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients
- Strong professional ethics and the ability to maintain confidentiality
- Empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental attitude towards individuals struggling with addiction
- Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with other professionals in a multidisciplinary setting
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload of clients effectively
