Meat Counter Clerk
Good Harvest Market, Waukesha County's largest independently owned natural and organic grocer, is currently accepting applications in consideration for a part-time meat clerk opportunity. The right candidate must have evening and weekend availability. The latest our meat department closes is 7pm, and this position will regularly be closing the department. This customer service focused role does not use any power driven equipment or perform any high-level meat cutting duties, so high school students age 16 and up are welcome to apply.
Our meat department combines an old-school friendly neighborhood butcher feel with a focus on humanely raised, grass fed and pasture raised meats and sustainably sourced seafood.
While this is not a meat cutting position, often times our entry level, customer service focused meat clerks will learn some meat cutting skills over time from our trained meat cutters. These skills are in demand and can lead to well paying careers in the meat cutting trade. With that in mind, meat clerks 18+ may be considered for an eventual advancement opportunity to become a meat cutter apprentice.
