Discovery Senior Living is hiring a Vice President of Talent Acquisition.

This is a remote role.

The Vice President of Talent Acquisition will lead the strategy and execution of a multifaceted talent acquisition strategy. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Human Resources, this role is responsible for designing and delivering innovative recruitment and sourcing strategies and tools, implementing key performance metrics (KPIs) and measurements and enhance the overall candidate experience and retention.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate existing talent acquisition strategies, tools, and program and develop and execute on comprehensive talent acquisition strategies that support the enterprise’s short and long-term talent needs.
  • Leads development, strategy, build out, and launch of new multi-brand career site, integrated with current and future application tracking system (ATS).
  • Subject matter expert on current and future ATS system deployment and usage.
  • Continually evaluates feasibility of centralizing front line recruitment and subsequent planning.
  • Lead the development of a full candidate lifecycle experience from sourcing, recruitment, internal stakeholder partnerships and management, offer, on-boarding, integration, and career path planning.
  • Develop and execute the employer branding and candidate experience across channels that align with company objectives and strategies.
  • Team leadership and development: inspire, enable, and support the TA team in their development and performance.
  • Partner with business leads and functions to ensure consistent employer branding; a compelling candidate experience.
  • Educate and coach hiring managers on available talent pool, recruiting best practices, and their role in supporting the company’s hiring policies, practices, and company values.
  • Build strong selection capabilities, and criteria that delivers high quality hires.
  • Evaluate and implements selection tools that support identifying top talent.
  • Promote diversity in the workplace and ensure recruiting strategies attract diverse candidates.
  • Create and automate talent acquisition KPIs to measure talent acquisition performance.
  • Build industry awareness and market intelligence regarding hiring and compensation trends and challenges.
  • Oversee the employment branding and posting resources such as LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Instagram, and Indeed.
  • Develop cost-conscious recruiting strategies that support the company’s needs; implement new processes and continuously improve existing processes in continuance of the company’s mission to source high quality talent.
  • Evaluate, select, and negotiates third-party sourcing support as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and recommending disciplining when necessary if set goals are not met.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required and Advanced degree strongly preferred in Human Resources.
  • SHRM-SCP or SPHR highly desired.
  • AIRS certification a plus.
  • 10 + years of experience of successfully leading a corporate acquisition function with a large multi-site,multi-brand, U.S. employer with complex, growing, business operations as a working executive . Senior living, healthcare, hospitality, service industries, retail, or experience with leading a talent acquisition function with an organization with a high percentage of hourly team members working 24x7 a plus.
  • Proven track-record of innovative use of talent acquisition technology to support speed to hire of high-caliber talent.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and executing on employment branding and talent acquisition social media strategy across talent acquisition channels.
  • Demonstrated resilience in fast moving, changing, entrepreneurial and growing organization with the ability to work with ambiguity.
  • · Experience working within matrixed organizations.
  • · Demonstrated high-level of aptitude with talent acquisition technologyies.
  • · Working knowledge of validated selection tools.
  • · Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws governing employment policies and practices.
