Job Overview

In this department you will perform final inspection and measurement to close tolerances ensuring conformance to customer and company specifications. You will work using customer blueprints, set up gauges and machinery and record trends and findings. You will also do a full visual check to make sure the piece is aesthetically pleasing for our customers.

Shift

Day Shift (8:00AM – 4:30PM, Mon - Fri) *With opportunity for overtime before regular shift and Saturday mornings

Responsibilities

  • Performs final inspection and measurement to close tolerances ensuring conformance to customer and company specifications. Work from piece prints and blueprints. Set up gauges and machinery and record trends and findings. Participate in intra-departmental communications.
  • Ensure 100% of customer specifications and tolerances are met or exceeded on all medical devices.
  • Be punctual and maintain an excellent attendance record.
  • May package and label product.
  • May assist in assembly.
  • Continuously strive to help improve processes.

Requirements:

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Has fantastic attention to detail
  • Strong skills with metrology devices such as mics, calipers, indicators, etc.
  • Ability to read and comprehend blueprints (including GD&T features such as true position and profile of a surface) per customer specifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English
  • Ability to work in a shop environment - continuous exposure to potentially hazardous metal working machinery and equipment, loud noises, dust, mist, oils and solvents.
