Gregorys Coffee Roastery Assistant

Our Roastery is the heartbeat of the Gregorys Coffee operation We take pride in our coffee quality, from procurement to the roasting process to the packaging and delivery of our beans to store teams and customers. 

As a Roastery Assistant, you will:

• Create a warm and inclusive environment for your team

• Work directly with the Head Roaster to scoop, weigh, and pack beans for distribution

• Maintain the organization of packed beans, labels, and storage

• Coordinate inventory orders and ensure beans are distributed accurately against invoices to be sent to all stores across multiple markets

• Partner with the packing and driving team to ensure accurate shipment of bean orders while ensuring food safety standards exceed excellence

• Oversee organization of wholesale/online retail bean orders. Pack orders, properly sticker, and pack for shipment. Ensure correct orders are packed with correct order receipts and shipped to the correct recipient/address

• Maintain excellent food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards while handling and packing roasted coffee beans

• Continuously sweep, mop, clean and sanitize the work station in addition to the Roastery space

• Support the Roastery & Commissary team with weekly administrative tasks 

Qualifications:

• Experience working in a food production facility or Roastery preferred

• Food Handler Certificate, or willingness to obtain upon hire

• Knowledge of the food and beverage retail space

• Excellent attention to detail in the area of food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

• Passion for coffee with a desire to learn more
