Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDESCRIPTION: The Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing various simple laboratory procedures, under the supervision of an ASCP-registered medical technologist to individuals with intellectual disabilities. 

Salary: $28.30/hr.

Shift Available: Monday - Friday 
                         6:30 AM - 2:30 PM 
*** 3-month contract with option to extend to 6 months                       
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform phlebotomy on patients of all ages.
  • Perform computer data entry.
  • Process and package specimens for transport to reference lab.
  • Comply with facility Standard Operating Procedures to meet standards for accrediting agencies
 
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent 
  • One year of full-time phlebotomy work
  • Possess a valid Texas driver’s license.
  • Must have up-to-date immunization records.
  • Must submit to a drug test.
  • Must submit to fingerprinting.
  • Must complete facility-required training.
