Little River Childcare is looking for a fun-loving, energetic, and compassionate Childcare teacher to encourage the healthy, intellectual, and psychological growth of each and every child in their care All Childcare Providers must be flexible and dependable. We provide care for children anywhere from 0 to 5 years of age with the exception of School-age drop-ins. You will be required to complete First Aid/CPR, growing futures training courses, and a guided orientation if hired. We do provide paid training to all of our new staff that come join our team
We are open Monday - Friday 7am - 6pm, which means NO weekend shifts
Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Passionate about working with children of all ages
- Ability to work with children of different ages and developmental stages
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus (we will get you certified if needed)
- Previous experience in childcare, babysitting, or nannying preferred but not required
- Strong communication skills to interact with children, parents, and other staff members
- Ability to create a safe and engaging learning enviroment for the children in your care
Responsibilities:
- Ensure a positive learning environment
- Maintan a clean and organized classroom
- Follow all health and safety guidelines and protocols
- Assist in feeding, diapering, and potty training as needed
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents or guardians
- Implement age-appropriate activities and educational teacher-led activities
- Monitor childrens behaviors and address any disciplinary issues using positive behavior managment techniques
- Communicate with parents about their child's progress and any concerns that may arise
- Supervise children during playtme, teacher led activities, mealtimes, and quiet times
